This evening's Local Spotlight is on Joe Blundo of Worthington, OH. Joe has announced his candidacy for President of the United States. A man with vision and a huge following (26 people as of this evening!), he's hit the local campaign trail with a solid platform worthy of even the toughest of critics.
Joe, I see no mention of a campaign manager on your web page. I would like to volunteer my services. Well, maybe "volunteer" is the wrong word to use but I'm willing to negotiate my fees. I have no experience as a campaign manager but unlike those who have refused to participate on your exploratory committee (Mayor Coleman, Gov. Strickland, OSU President Karen Holbrook) I am enthusiastic; I believe in the issues you stand for and well, I could use the money. This post is a very good start don't you think? Do you know anyone else blogging on your behalf? In fact, this is not the first time I've mentioned you as I blog. Why here's a post from November 2006...
C'mon Joe. Time's a wastin'.
With deep admiration,
~ Connie

Thanks for the support! I'm sure there is a job for you in the Blundo campaign. An unpaid position, to be sure, seeing as how contributions to date total 47 cents. (See dispatch.com/blundo for my first campaign filing). But the thrill of working for the cause of amusement will be compensation enough. . . . Joe

Joe, you've got a point there. If nothing else, it would look good on my resume...Ok, so no salary. 47 cents would buy your campaign staff a few donut holes. Or have you spent it already? You haven't spent it on anything frivolous have you?
