Yahew! Now, you really mean it, right? You're not just saying?

Stephen Kuusisto

Hi Lorraine: Yes, I really mean it. In fact I just posted the following note to the Iowa City Press Citizen and I hope they deign to print it:

To the Editor:

I have decided to stand for Senator Chris Dodd on January 3. I remain alarmed by the steady erosion of each and every American’s civil liberties under the Bush administration. I have looked long and hard at the candidates from both parties and I have concluded that only Senator Dodd has a substantial record when it comes to the preservation of our constitutional rights. In fact, while the story got little news from the media, Senator Dodd left the campaign trail here in Iowa two weeks ago to return to Washington to fight for our civil liberties on Capitol hill. I would like to urge my fellow citizens in Iowa to look again at the candidates and their respective records in public service . When you take the time to look it’s obvious that Senator Dodd has the experience to lead our country during these challenging times and the backbone to fight for our nation’s truest values.

Sincerely,

Steve Kuusisto
