You are NOT alone in your horrified reaction to the procedure of mutilating disabled chidren by limiting their growth. I wonder how much physical pain is involved for the child whose growth is limited. Thank you for speaking out against this!

No, you're not alone. I, too, have written about this creepy and weirdly sanitized atrocity on my own blog and have found that most of the people who have replied are in agreement even though many are not in the disability community at all.

Aaargh Steve--a family in my area had this procedure done to a very young child--a girl--& thereafter referred to her as their "pillow angel." OMFG. (Friends said 'Why don't they just get a dog' but dogs don't deserve to be relegated to anyone's "pillow angel" either.)
